‼️🚨 Announcement🚨‼️

The Midlothian Fire Department with the assistance of Deputy Chief Jon Kucharski are proud to announce that we have been awarded a $24,373.67 equipment grant from the Illinois State Fire Marshal (OSFM) for the purchase of a Stryker LUCAS Chest Compression System.

The LUCAS device is a mechanical CPR system that delivers consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac arrest, meeting current resuscitation guidelines. It serves as a valuable force multiplier for our department by allowing personnel to focus on other critical interventions while providing uninterrupted, fatigue-free compressions — even during ambulance transports.

This grant will significantly enhance our ability to deliver effective care and improve provider safety during emergency responses.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Illinois State Fire Marshal for their continued support of fire departments across the state.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Message from The Midlothian Fire Department

This Memorial Day weekend we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending our nation.

Their courage and selflessness built the freedoms we protect every single day.
As firefighters, we understand the weight of service and sacrifice, a calling that echoes the bravery of our fallen service members.

We also remember our own brothers and sisters in the fire service who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their legacy lives on in every call we answer and every life we protect in Midlothian.

To our veterans, active military, and their families — thank you. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Please take time this weekend to remember those who never made it home. Fly your flags high and hold your loved ones close.

Stay safe and God Bless America.

🚑 National EMS Week 2026 🚑

This week, the Midlothian Fire Department proudly recognizes our dedicated EMS professionals during National Emergency Medical Services Week.

In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week™ to celebrate EMS professionals and the important work they do in our nation’s communities. National Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine’s frontline.

EMS Week is presented by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).

To our paramedics, EMTs, and firefighters:

Thank you for your professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the residents of Midlothian. Your skill and service make our community safer every day.

We are grateful for all that you do.
