Message from the Mayor of Midlothian
Dear Midlothian Residents,
Our community has been impacted by recent severe and violent storms, and I want you to know that the safety and well-being of our residents remain our highest priority.
We understand that some families may be dealing with property damage, power outages, debris, or other storm-related hardships. Please take care of yourself and your neighbors, and avoid downed power lines, damaged structures, and other hazardous areas.
Residents affected by the storms who need assistance with emergency needs, food, shelter, cleanup resources, or recovery support are encouraged to contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-RedCross. The Red Cross can help connect affected individuals and families with available disaster-relief resources.
Bremen Township also has some resources available to help affected residents. They can be reached at 1 708 333 9530.
If you have a friend or family member that has no power and can’t receive this message please give them the information as well.
Please also continue to monitor official Village communications for updates regarding storm cleanup, road conditions, power restoration, and other local services. If you have an immediate life-threatening emergency, call 911.
Midlothian is a strong community, and we will get through this together. Please check on elderly neighbors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone who may need additional assistance during this difficult time.
Thank you to our first responders, public works crews, utility workers, volunteers, and community organizations working to help our residents recover.
Stay safe, look out for one another, and know that your village is here to support you.
Sincerely,
Mayor Gary L’Heureux
Village of Midlothian, Illinois
