Pilot Club of Tallahassee

The Pilot Club of Tallahassee are volunteers joining together in the name of Pilot International to make a difference in the Tallahassee.

The Pilot Club of Tallahassee spearheads efforts in the arenas of brain disorders, not limited to, but including, Alzheimer's disease. Many of our projects help to aid and fund research of this debilitating enemy. In addition to Alzheimer's projects, we also actively educate young children how to protect their brain through a puppet show program known as BrainMinders®. We work in the local community supporting Gretchen Everhart School, and the Salvation Army Sharing Tree, among other venues.

In the month of July we played BrainO with the residents of Canterfield of Tallahassee and Woodmont Senior Living plus we presented Pick Me Ups to the staff at both. We worked the registration table for the Kiwanis Firecracker 5K and at the end of the month we attended the Pilot International (PI) annual convention.

Charlotte Edenfield, member of the Pilot Club of Tallahassee, was elected to the position of the 2026-2027 Pilot International Treasurer at the annual Convention. Charlotte was escorted by Steve Brewer, husband of Riverview Pilot Club member, Winnie Brewer. Congrats, Charlotte.

Come join us at The Grove Museum on Saturday, August 1st. The Pilot Club of Tallahassee will be there fitting and distributing a limited number of bicycle helmets, talking safety and handing out safety information/items.

The Pilot Club of Tallahassee was at the College of Medicine, FSU on Saturday, June 20th, to support The Alzheimer's Project, Inc. for their annual Alzheimer's Conference. The Conference was started by the Pilot Club of Tallahassee 41 years ago.

The Pilot Club of Tallahassee installed their 2026-2027 club officers Monday, June 8. We are looking forward to a great and busy year. Thank you to Melissa Forehand, incoming Florida District Secretary, for conducting the ceremony and Margaret for joining us.

The annual Brain Fair is almost here! 🧠

Hosted by the Neuroscience Graduate Student Association, the Brain Fair is a community-based event for kids of all ages to learn about how their brains work through interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities, and conversations with real scientists.
