The Mid-Del Board of Education named Mr. Troy Nelson as an Assistant Principal at Del City High School.

Mr. Nelson brings 17 years of experience in education and a strong commitment to leadership, service, and student success. He began his career with Moore Public Schools, teaching Algebra and Leadership at Moore High School while also serving as an assistant coach for the slow-pitch softball and wrestling programs.

For the past 12 years, Mr. Nelson has served in school leadership as an assistant principal at Central Junior High and Highland West Junior High. Throughout his career, he has focused on building strong relationships with students, staff, and families, fostering a positive school culture, promoting academic excellence, and helping every student reach their full potential.

Mr. Nelson earned both his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Mr. Nelson and his wife, Courtney, have been married for 18 years and are the proud parents of their son, Tripp, and daughter, Sawyer. He looks forward to becoming an active member of the Mid-Del community and partnering with families to make a positive impact on students.

Congratulations, Mrs. Rodriguez! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The Mid-Del Board of Education named Mrs. Ashley Rodriguez as an Instructional Facilitator for Special Services.

Mrs. Rodriguez is beginning her 13th year in the field of special education and brings a lifelong passion for supporting students to her new role. Her calling to special education began early—she knew as a sixth-grade student that she wanted to become a special education teacher.

Mrs. Rodriguez earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of the Southwest and her master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University.

In her new role, Mrs. Rodriguez looks forward to continuing to support students while collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families across Mid-Del Schools. She is passionate about supporting educators, strengthening special education practices, and helping improve outcomes for every student.

The Mid-Del Board of Education has named Keriann Simms as Assistant Principal at Parkview Elementary at the July 23, 2026 Board Meeting. Keriann brings a wealth of experience in federal programs management, continuous improvement research, and school-level administration to her new leadership role. Her career has included serving as the Federal Programs Coordinator for Putnam City Schools, a Senior Research Associate at The BERC Group, and an Elementary School Principal and Associate Director of Family and Community Engagement in the Lake
Washington School District. With a deep commitment to student success, Keriann centers her leadership approach on fostering strong relationships and building deep trust across families, staff, and students. She believes that open collaboration, active listening, and strong partnerships are the keys to unlocking every students potential.

The Mid-Del Board of Education has named Heather Branesky as Special Services Assistant Director at the July 13, 2026 Board Meeting.

For the past 11 years, Heather has been a dedicated advocate for Mid-Del students, families, and staff. From her work as a School Psychologist to her current role as an Instructional Facilitator for Special Services, she has remained focused on ensuring every student has the support and opportunities needed to succeed.

Heather's passion for serving others, building strong relationships, and championing student success makes her an outstanding addition to the Special Services leadership team.

Congratulations to Dr. Faneé Webster!

The Mid-Del Board of Education has named Dr. Faneé Webster as Assistant Principal at Del City High School at the July 13, 2026 Board Meeting.

A proud Carl Albert High School graduate, Dr. Webster brings a wealth of experience in special education administration, academic research, and classroom instruction to her new leadership role. Her career has included serving as the Director of Special Services for Guthrie Public Schools, a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Langston University, and a special education teacher in both Mid-Del Public Schools and Richardson ISD.

With a passion for student success and educator support, Dr. Webster is dedicated to using evidence-based practices, collaborative leadership, and strong family partnerships to help all students reach their full potential.
