The Mid-Del Board of Education is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Brandon Hawkins as a Head Elementary Principal.

Brandon Hawkins is a PROUD graduate of Hugo High School, class of 2000. Upon graduation, Brandon attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Ok on a full athletic basketball scholarship, where he played for two seasons. After his time at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Brandon would transfer to East Central University in Ada, Ok on a full athletic basketball scholarship as well to finish up his collegiate career. While at East Central University, Brandon would earn his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. In addition to a Bachelor's in Kinesiology, Brandon also holds a Master's in Sports Administration, and due to the administrative influence of Patrice Tucker and Dean Hinton, he went on to pursue and acquire his Master's in Educational Leadership. The end of this school year represents the completion of Brandon's 11th year in the field of education, both as educator and administrator. The opportunity to return to the elementary environment is one that Brandon says he has looked forward to for a while, as this is where his career began, so he is excited about continuing his pursuit of impacting the lives of students, families, and educators at this level. Brandon proudly calls himself the husband of LaKiesha Hawkins and father to Bree, Jordan, and Harper, who are all MID-DEL products.

For the upcoming school year, Mr. Hawkins has been selected to join our leadership team, with a specific school assignment to be announced at a later date.
