The Midwest City Police Department was honored to join other police departments from across Oklahoma on Wednesday for the Special Olympics Oklahoma Opening Ceremonies.

This event is always a powerful reminder of the strength, determination, and spirit of the athletes, and we are proud to stand alongside our law enforcement partners in support of Special Olympics Oklahoma.

A special highlight of the ceremony was seeing our own Maj. Matt Clawson rappel with the other rappellers as part of the opening celebration. We are proud of Maj. Clawson and grateful for everyone who helped make the ceremony such a memorable experience.

Congratulations to all of the athletes, coaches, families, and volunteers. We are cheering you on!
