Today around 6:03 pm, retired Sgt. Tiffany Metzger passed away after a long battle with cancer. Sgt. Metzger served the citizens of Midwest City as a patrol officer and crime lab tech for 8 years. Sgt. Metzger was an advocate for children in every aspect and loved being a voice for them. Sgt. Metzger was with loving family when she passed away. Our agency is very thankful for The Sanders Family for all the love, support and care they provided her throughout her life. Sgt. Tiffany Metzger #180 thank you for all you have done sister.

August 26th is National Dog Day! 🐾

Today, we honor the four-legged members of the Midwest City Police Department who serve our community in their own special ways.
From our working K-9s Rocky, Gery, Micky, and Ogre to Miles the Therapy Dog, each plays an important role in protecting, supporting, and connecting with the people of Midwest City.

"The Inside Scoop" at Autumn House Independent Living!

Staff invited us to Bingo, get-to-know-you questions, and ice cream. We had so much fun learning about the residents and visiting with everyone. And....in this heat, the Ice cream was a bonus! 🍦

At approximately 6:45 p.m., officers responded to an injury collision involving a motorcycle in the 200 block of N. Air Depot Boulevard.

The motorcycle rider sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was arrested at the scene on suspicion of Driving While Under the Influence (DUI).

The collision remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.

We are going to postpone the Citizens Academy for the Fall 2026 and wait until Spring 2027. Our agency pulls so many resources together to provide the training each week for those wishing to attend. So far there has not been a huge response for participation. Thank you to all the supporters that we have within our community, our Citizens Academy Alumni, officers and staff here at the PD that make this program a success every time. We will see everyone in April 2027!!!!
