It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of former Chief of Police Clarence Allen. Chief Allen was a U.S. Army Veteran and served the Borough of Mifflin as Chief of Police with distinction and honor. After his law enforcement career Chief Allen continued serving by volunteering his time to the community and veterans of Juniata County up until his passing.

We hold Chief Allen’s family in our hearts and prayers hoping they find comfort and peace.

Thank you for your service Chief and rest easy.

Suspicious Person:

The Mifflin Borough Police Department has received complaints of a suspicious person looking into vehicles parked at the 100 Block of Foster Street.

Do not attempt to approach the individual. Call 911 to report any criminal or suspicious activity.

Please remember to always lock your vehicles and never leave anything of value out in plain sight.

The Conewago Township Police Department has been made aware of a new potential scam moving throughout the Commonwealth. The scammer is phoning victims and claiming to be with the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) and is stating that the victim owes fines and cost. A threat is then being made to put the victim on the s*x offender list if you do not pay them. If you receive such a call, do not provide any information, hang up, and notify your police department.

Tye Osborne was taken into custody on his warrants in January with the assistance of Mifflin County Regional Police Department.

USDSA awarded the Mifflin Borough Police Department in Pennsylvania with a Vehicle Rifle Mount and a Preliminary Breath Tester for combating drunk driving and underage drinking. Pictured is Chief Bustin with the donated items.
