Good morning - just a heads up the paving contractor notified us they will be spraying oil on the roads that are being repaved today.

Save the Date! The SSPOA Board of Directors approved a free trash trailer and scrap metal drop off for Saturday 11 April 2026 at the community boat ramp. This is for Shamrock Shores residents and part of our ongoing neighborhood clean-up initiative.

02/26/2026

Paving/Boat Ramp Update: We have had some residents concerned about the condition of the boat ramp parking area (currently being used as a staging area for our new road construction). The SSPOA reached out to the contractor and they have promised that when they are finished, “it will look as good or better than when they started.”

Loose and Stray Dogs: Make your vote count. While our neighborhood continues to improve, an ongoing challenge reported by our residents has been the roaming, unleashed dogs. Thankfully this topic has been and continues to be discussed by Sabine county election candidates (establishing an animal control agency, or partnering with a neighboring county etc). While we the SSPOA are non-political, the loose dog problem is ultimately a county solution so please vote for the candidate you believe will best address this issue.

GM Water
Good morning FM 276, Holly Park, Nine Mile, Shamrock Shores, Newell’s… We have a significant leak on the Holly Park Bridge and crews are en route to make the repairs and get water restored for everyone in these areas. Please use extreme caution when crossing the bridge as these frigid temperatures has caused ice to form across the bridge. We will also have several guys and service vehicles on the bridge so please slow down so that we can make the repairs as quickly and safely as possible. Once the repairs are complete, we will flush the lines and pressure will build back up and stabilize. Thank you for your patience as always.

GM Water
We are aware of an issue up North with customers having little to no water pressure at all. So if you live North of the Milam 4 way, please go out and check your surroundings and report any leaks you may see. This will include all of Hwy 87N to Reeves Rd, all of FM276 to Nine Mile and Newell’s, and all of Telephone Rd and adjoining roads. We have several guys up in that area now looking around for the problem but haven’t been able to locate it yet. Thank you for your patience. Contact the office with questions or concerns.

Good morning ALL GM Water Supply Customers. I hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed warm for the most part. As the temperatures climb above freezing today, we are asking that you do a quick look around your homes and your neighbors homes if they are unable to or don’t reside here year round. If you see water running anywhere or if you see any meters spinning, please contact the office and we will have someone come check it out. We are currently running on generator power at a couple of our pump stations but the entire system is still with service and we’ve still got water flowing in every direction. We still have another day or two of these freezing temperatures but we appreciate everyone’s help in finding and reporting any leaks that may pop up as lines begin to thaw out. As always, if you have any questions or concerns or need any assistance in shutting meters off, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you.

PSA to ALL GM Water Supply Customers. This mornings leak that we encountered in Shamrock Shores Subdivision was NOT weather related but we are finally starting to see some freezing temperatures in Deep East Texas. That being said, please remember to take proper steps to protect your water lines and get them winterized. If you know that we will be seeing below freezing temperatures for several consecutive hours, please walk outside and turn your meter off and drain your inside lines to avoid any breaks. Then turn it back on when necessary or when temperatures get back above freezing. We ask that you DO NOT drip your faucets because that will deplete our storage tanks rather quickly when we have a couple thousand or more households dripping faucets at the same time. We’ve seen that happen time after time and it takes several days, if not longer, to overcome and restore service to everyone. If you need assistance in shutting your meter off, please contact the office and we will have someone come out and shut it off for you. One last thing, we understand that a large part of our customer base has weekend/holiday homes in the system in which they do not reside in year round. If you are one of these customers or if your neighbor has one of these homes, please take the time to shut the water meter off to avoid any busted lines and potential flooding within the home. We have also seen this happen on multiple occasions and it’s easily avoided if you take the time to prepare now. As always, please feel free to contact the office with any questions or concerns or if you need assistance in shutting your meters off. Thank you.
