The Village of Milan is excited to announce the successful completion of our 500,000-gallon water tower rehabilitation project!

The project included important repairs and a complete recoating of the interior and exterior of the tower, helping protect our water system and extend the life of this important Village asset.

The rehabilitation work was professionally performed by Midwest Tank Management, who did an outstanding job throughout the project.

We are also proud to showcase “Birthplace of Thomas A. Edison” on the tower, highlighting Milan’s unique history and heritage for everyone traveling through our community.

The Village of Milan was pleased to receive a $25,000 EPIC Convention & Visitors Bureau Grant through Erie County, which helped support this important project and the addition of the Edison tourism branding.

Thank you to Midwest Tank Management, Erie County, EPIC CVB, our Village employees, Council, and everyone who helped make this project possible.

The Milan Police Department is currently accepting applications for part-time officers. Candidates must be OPOTA certified and willing to work flexible hours. Applications may be picked up at 11 S. Main Street, Milan, Ohio, on the Village of Milan website at www.milanohio.gov or apply in person to the Chief of Police at 11 S. Main Street, Milan, Ohio between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. The Milan Police Department offers an Equal Employment Opportunity.

The Village of Milan Design Review Board will hold a meeting on Thursday August 20, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. to discuss a change to the sign on the front of the building located at 52 E. Front Street.
