The center is having a bake sale Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 8:am. Pies, cinnamon rolls, home-made noodles, etc etc. Hope to see you there.

As Board Chairman of the Senior Center, I want to thank our community for supporting our fund raiser this past Saturday. Thank you for your donations of pie, other desserts, home-made ice cream, and monetary donations. Thank you also to our wonderful kitchen staff for serving.

It is that of time of year when we get all kinds of requests for donations. If you are deciding who to donate to this year, please consider the senior center. Keeping the senior center open helps our elderly to stay in their homes. By receiving a meal, they are also checked on daily. If you are able to get out, eating at the senior is a good way to stay in contact with others for the suggested price of $3 which includes drink and dessert. If you would like to donate, drop off your donation or send it to the senior center. Your name will be placed on our Christmas tree. Thank you for helping to keep the senior center open.

We appreciate everyone that came and donated to our Senior Center Bake Sale this morning. We are required to have so many fundraisers every year. Without donations from the community, we would not be able to deliver meals to our shut-ins and make sure they are checked on. Thank you so much!!

Tomorrow, Nov. 15, is our Thanksgiving Dinner with turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, roll and pumpkin bar. Suggested price over 60 is $3, under 60 is $6. Serving starts at 11:30. Also, you can meet our new administrator, Rebecca Rhinehart Bennett.

Milan Elks are having a fund raiser for the Senior Center on Sunday, May 20 from 12-2 at the Elks Club. Serving soups and desserts for lunch. Eat what you want, pay what you want. Also, a silent auction and bake sale will be held. Come out and support our Senior Center.

During the month of May, the Rolling Hills Winery of Green Castle, MO is holding a fund raiser for the Sullivan County Senior Center. For every hanging basket or flat of flowers that you buy, they will donate $2. There are lots of flowers to choose from. Thank you Rolling Hills for doing this.

The Milan Old Timer's Committee is holding a fund raiser this Friday, April 20, 11 a.m. - ??? for our Senior Center. It will be held in Richardson's Parking Lot. They will be serving ribs, chicken or pork dinners with choice of sides and drink. You will also be able to buy slabs of ribs or 1/2 chickens. Prices will be posted there. Please stop by and help support the Senior Center in Milan. We so appreciate the Milan Old Timer's Committee for doing this fund raiser for us.
