It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Staff Sergeant Brady Plucker, who passed on July 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Brady was a proud member of the 740th Transportation Company and served with honor, strength, and unwavering dedication.

A funeral service will be held on July 24, 2025, in Dell Rapids, with interment to follow at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery.

Brady was a hard-charging Soldier who stood firmly for what he believed in. He was also a devoted family man; steadfast, loving, and deeply respected. He will be missed by all who knew him.

We carry Brady’s legacy forward with love, pride, and gratitude.

The 740th Transportation Company hit the road this year with purpose of executing Operation Patriot Press with precision and professionalism for this year's annual training.

From convoys hauling critical ammunition loads across unfamiliar terrain to hands-on logistical excellence in every mile traveled, our Soldiers demonstrated what mission-first commitment truly looks like.

These photos showcase how the 740th Transportation Company continuously operates. We love completing every mission with pride, discipline, and the drive to support the fight.

We also took time to recognize individual excellence. Soldiers were awarded for their relentless dedication, leadership, and outstanding performance throughout the mission. Their contributions echo the values that keep our unit strong.

Soldiers of the SDARNG, 740th Transportation Company conducted a five-day field training exercise in Camp Ripley, MN April 2025.

Our soldiers sharpened their skills with an outstanding training event! From crew-served weapons familiarization to land navigation, confidence courses, and weapons qualifications, they tackled every challenge with dedication.

Maintenance operations ensured readiness, while mock convoy drills and night driving tested their ability to operate in dynamic environments.

Proud of their hard work and commitment to excellence! 🇺🇸

A group of 740th Transportation Company Soldiers participated in the Milbank Special Olympics 1st Heroes Pull. It was great to see such great participation throughout the community!

Mission: Pull a 42,000 # fire truck as fast as you can from start line to finish line with a team of 10 (or less) people.

We were the only team of 9 and weren't in the competition long, but we had a good time!

Thanks to all those that organized such a great event!
