FALL OPEN BURNING RESTRICTIONS

As we enter October, please remember that Ohio’s seasonal open burning restrictions are in effect.

During October and November, open burning is not permitted between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Residents planning to burn outdoors should be aware of these restrictions and always use caution. Conditions can change quickly, and even a small fire can spread.

October 1 – November 30
Restricted hours: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Please burn responsibly and follow all applicable state and local regulations.

You may notice a Northwestern Fire District medic unit around Union Township or responding to 911 calls over the next few days.

While our medic unit is temporarily out of service for scheduled maintenance, Northwestern Fire District has graciously loaned us one of their backup ambulances so we can continue providing EMS coverage to our community without interruption.

Although the ambulance may have Northwestern’s markings, it will be staffed and operated by Union Township Fire Department personnel while serving our residents.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Northwestern Fire District for their partnership and generosity. Their support allows us to continue serving our community without interruption while our medic unit is being serviced.
