We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Godfrey Brook Hazard Mitigation project, funded in part by a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant.

The structural improvements to the brook will significantly increase stormwater capacity and alleviate downstream flooding risks during major rain events. This critical infrastructure upgrade enhances our town's resilience and provides vital protection to adjacent properties and public infrastructure.

Thank you to our residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the duration of this project.

🚨 Storm Update 🚨

Crews began plowing at 8:30 PM Sunday and are still working to keep roads safe and passable. Whiteout conditions and heavy snowfall made for a long and challenging night and day for operators and equipment. Plowing will continue until the snow stops.

🛻 What’s Next:
• Tuesday morning, crews will begin widening narrow streets where snow buildup and existing snowbanks limited access.
• Snow will be cleared from intersection corners, crosswalks, and parking spaces,etc.
• Sidewalk clearing will continue along school walking routes.

⚠️ Reminder:
Do NOT plow, shovel, or snow-blow snow into streets or onto sidewalks. Violations may result in a fine of up to $100.

Per Milford Town bylaw, property owners are responsible for keeping sidewalks abutting their property clear of snow and ice.
