Last night, we received a complaint regarding children walking on the roof of the dugout at the Township Park. This behavior is unacceptable and creates a safety hazard. The park includes playground equipment designed for climbing and play; the dugout roof is not intended for that purpose.
Additionally, rocks have been thrown onto the brand-new metal roof on our pavilion. This is also unacceptable and causes unnecessary damage to public property. The replacement of this roof cost Dingman Township taxpayers approximately $25,000.
We ask all park users to help protect and preserve these facilities. Please respect YOUR park and encourage others to do the same. By treating public property with care, we can keep our park safe, attractive, and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation.
