INTERSECTION CLOSED JUNE 12th – WIXOM ROAD/SLEETH/DUCK LAKE
On June 12, 2026, the intersection of Wixom Road/Sleeth/Duck Lake will be closed completely for the construction of a roundabout. This project is being run by the Road Commission of Oakland County (RCOC). The approximately $2.2 million project is funded with federal funds and contributions from the RCOC, Commerce Township, and Oakland County's general government (through its Tri-Party Program).
The project includes:
• Conversion of the existing two signalized intersection to a single, modern roundabout.
• Reconstruction of approximately 0.4 miles of road, with asphalt paving and new curbs and gutters.
• Installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant pedestrian crosswalk on the east leg of the roundabout.
• Improvements to storm sewers and drainage.
• Installation of intersection lighting.

In 2026, the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) plans to build its 45th roundabout at the Wixom Road/Wixom Trail/Duck Lake Road/Sleeth Road intersection on the Commerce Township and Milford Township border.
