The Milford Board of Health, in partnership with Planet Aid, is offering FREE home pickup of clothing and household textiles during the month of August!

🗓 Pickup Dates:
• Friday, August 1
• Friday, August 15

Help keep reusable textiles out of the trash while making it easy to declutter your home.

Effective July 1, 2026, the Milford Board of Health will no longer oversee the Town's residential curbside trash and recycling collection.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding residential trash and recycling services, please contact the Waste & Recycling Department or contact EL Harvey directly. There has been no change to the service.

Important Update: Curbside Metal Collection Stickers

Please note that scheduling and pickup requests for curbside metal collection are no longer handled by the Board of Health.

Residents who need to schedule a metal pickup or purchase a collection sticker should now visit the:

Milford Waste & Recycling Department
30 Front Street (Highway Department)

🔹 Metal collection stickers are available for purchase at 30 Front Street.
🔹 Payment is by check only.
🔹 Curbside metal collections take place on Thursdays.

Important information for Milford Residents

Rubbish & Recycling Transitioning to Highway Dept. — No Service Changes

The Milford Board of Health announces that, effective July 1, 2026, management of the curbside rubbish and recycling program will transfer from the Board of Health to the Highway Department.
This reflects the Board’s increasing public health responsibilities and brings us in line with how most communities structure their solid waste programs, that are usually overseen by Public Works or Highway Departments.

There will be no changes to collection schedule. Residents should continue to place rubbish and recycling at the curb as usual.

After July 1, any questions can be directed to the Waste & Recycling Manager located at the Highway Department at 774-462-3312. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during the transition.
