Milford NH Conservation Commission The Milford Conservation Commission works to encourage the sound management of Milford's natural resources for current and future generations.

The seven members and several alternates of the conservation commission are volunteer citizens of Milford. We all have a common goal, to educate ourselves and the town's people to understand and appreciate the natural environment. We inventory, oversee and plan for the protection of the town's natural resources. These resources include the river and streams, the wetlands and wildlife, forests, tra

ils and open space. Towns in New Hampshire were given the right by the state to form a conservation commission in 1963. Milford voted in 1968 to establish this commission as advisors to aid the other town boards, developers and landowners in the protection of the natural treasures in our town.

Clean Streets Milford is VERY grateful to the Milford Conservation Commission for funding our grabbers. On Saturday we used them to pick up 20 bags of trash, and since April 2026, we’ve gathered 304 bags. Pictured are team members Mona Kluz, Bob Merwin, Heidi Crowell, Ray and Harriet Riendeau (Joe Vallier not pictured). A team of 12 volunteers collected 79 bags of trash this morning on Mason, Armory and North River Spur Roads. Over the past 6 weeks, we have gathered 220 bags across the streets of Milford. Woot woot!
