✨MYC after-school program needs your expertise!🫵

Are you an avid skateboarder? 🛹 Do you have the skills to ride and to teach? Do you box for exercise or professionally? 🥊 Do you have the skills MYC needs to teach our youth introductory boxing alongside our long-time volunteer, Coach Brian?! 💥

🔧 Calling all trades! 🛠️ Plumbers, HVAC, Electricians⚡... come one, come all! Contact us so you can be a part of our amazing monthly Life Skills program where we teach our youth and expose them to all life’s future possibilities! 🌟

We are always looking for volunteers to help during our free after-school program for youth ages 8-18 who live in Milford or attend Milford Public Schools. 🏫 You can run a program 🎨, pack dinners 🍱, help with fundraisers 🎟️, or just be present with the children! ❤️

The definition of a volunteer is a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or to accept a task. 📖 But to us at the Milford Youth Center, our volunteers are so much more. You are a part of our team! 💙

Welcome to week 6 day 5, the very last day of MYC Summer Camp! 🏖️ We can’t believe summer camp has come to an end, but we wrapped it up with the ultimate trip to Onset Beach! ☀️ The weather was absolutely beautiful, and the water was the perfect temperature for a full day of seaside fun! 🏊‍♂️

Campers got super creative in the sand, building an entire sand couch to chill on as well as incredible sand sculptures of a giant snake, a dragon, and a water dragon! 🐉 Out on the beach, kids had a blast with Spikeball, soccer, and tons of fun water activities! ⚽️

A massive thank you to Hockomock Area YMCA for providing two awesome lifeguards to keep our kids safe today. Gracie and Jerome, you guys rock! 🛟

We also want to extend a huge thank you to the SFSP, the Hockomock Area YMCA, and the Milford Food Service Program for providing free breakfast and lunch to our campers all summer long! 🍎 Your support keeps our camp running strong! ❤️

Thank you to all of our campers, families, counselors, and staff for making this summer camp such a special time! This was definitely one for the books! Have an amazing rest of your summer, and we can’t wait to see you all again! 🌟

Welcome to week 6 day 4 of MYC Summer Camp! ☀️ We can’t believe there is only one day left of camp! 🤯

To start the day, we want to give a massive congratulations to our Counselors of the Week, Kiaxell and Maddi, and our Campers of the Week, Victoria and Brian! 🏆

Color Wars is still heating up! It was awesome seeing team pride with everyone wearing their team colors! 🔥 This morning, teams raced around town for an epic scavenger hunt that brought them to the fire station🚒, town hall🏛️, and police station 🚔. Points were awarded to teams based on how well they placed! Afterward, everyone cooled down from the heat with some delicious snow cones 🍧.

Later on, the color teams faced off in a highly competitive game of Family Feud in the basement for more points! 🎤 We also wrapped up the afternoon with a super fun, real-life game of Among Us where kids completed tasks and tried to spot the imposter 🤫(just for fun, no points!).

A huge shoutout to the Amazon Sorting Center ORH5 for their delivery of tons of boxes filled with an awesome assortment of items! 📦 Also, a giant thank you to Spoonfuls, Inc. for delivering 154 pounds of food today! 🥪

✨The Milford Youth Center would like to thank Project Just Because, a nonprofit organization that helps local families in any way they can.☺️ They reached out to the Milford Youth Center and donated several prepacked bags of kid-friendly snacks🍎, juice boxes🧃 and easy meals🍱. They also donated an entire pallet of cases of water💧 which were distributed to our camper families! Thank you so much! ❤️

🔴🟠🟡Day 3 of Color Wars was a success! Teams competed this morning in a series of Minute to Win It 🎲 games and relay races to get more points for their teams! The busy morning was followed by a visit from The Ice Box Trailer ice cream truck, who donated ice cream 🍦 and Italian ice 🧊 to all our campers, staff and youthworkers, thank you! The Hockomock Area YMCA dropped off backpacks 🎒for us to distribute to the community after camp! Then campers got to cool down at Fino Pool💦! 🟢🔵🟣

☀️ Our 2026 YouthWorks summer program has been off to a great start! 🥳 This summer we were able to employ 18 youth at 6 different sites. 👏 We are fortunate to partner with The Milford Youth Center, We All Hoop 🏀, Milford Parks Department, Bob’s Marina🛥️, Milford Town Library 📚, and Sweet Inspirations🍭! Our youth workers have been very busy at their sites this summer!😎

💪 Our youth are not only working hard at their job sites, but they also have been a part of multiple different presentations and local field trips. ☺️We have been fortunate enough to have different professionals talk about their personal and professional journeys!
