Summer reading program 2026! “Plant A Seed, Read!”
Any children K-5 are welcome for our summer reading program! If your child plans to attend please complete this form or pick up a paper copy at the library. The program dates are June 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th from 12:00-1:00pm.

We will also be doing reading challenges for Kids, Teens, AND Adults! They will be posted June 1st and run until June 30th. Complete the challenge within the month and get a prize!

Just a reminder that we are closed this week (the 18th-22nd) for the installation of new carpet. We can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s all finished!
If you need to return any items you can put them in the book drop. If you need to renew an item or if you have any questions- feel free to either message us here on Facebook- or call and leave a message at 815-889-4722 and we will get it taken care of.

Reminder that we will be CLOSED May 18th-22nd.

Between 1886 and 1917, Andrew Carnegie funded the construction of 1,681 libraries nationwide. Today about 1,280 are still serving their communities... And we are one of them.

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary The Carnegie Corporation of New York made gifts of $10,000 to every remaining Carnegie library. Thanks to that generous donation we are able to replace the carpet in the upper level of our library.

We will be closed May 18th-22nd while the carpet is being installed.
