Laura Childs is the New York Times bestselling author specializing in cozy mysteries that have the pace of a thriller (a thrillzy!) Her three series are: of the Tea Shop Mysteries, Scrapbook Mysteries, and Cackleberry Club Mysteries.

We are pleased to announce that we have just gotten in 13 books of The Scrapbooking Mysteries – a slightly edgier series that take place in New Orleans. The main character, Carmela, owns Memory Mine scrapbooking shop in the French Quarter and is forever getting into trouble with her friend, Ava, who owns the Juju Voodoo shop. In observance of the independence holiday, The Milford Public Library will be closed on Saturday July 4th – we will reopen for regular hours on Wednesday, July 8th at 10am.

We hope you have a fun, memorable and safe 4th of July as you celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of our great nation with your friends and loved ones.

Volunteer Appreciation is about recognizing and rewarding the unpaid time and energy to the supporters of the Milford Public Library. Finding the right words to thank a volunteer is harder than it sounds. Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless. Your time is a gift. Thank you for giving it to us.
