Environmental Education is something that has infinite possibilities. Today, District Manager Charly Bloom, and Watershed Specialist Grace LeGars are at Bald Eagle State Park in Howard, PA for a DCNR hosted Bird Education event. The event is free to the public from 12p-4pm today.
There is a variety of activities to do from different agencies! The Game Commission even brought a nuisance bear that they captured today to show the public how they do bear tagging and data collection for aging and tracking.

Hello Everyone!

Its that time of year again! 🍃The Annual Clinton County Conservation District Tree Sale is happening! 🌲🌿We will be doing public shopping days again this year. We will be open Wednesday (Apr 22), Thursday (Apr 23), Friday (Apr 24) from 9:00am to 1:00pm and Saturday (Apr 25) from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Everything is a first come, first serve basis.

In addition to our tree sale, we will be participating in the American 250 Celebration! The District will be hosting;
- DCNR for a Tree Planting Demonstration
- Master Gardeners having speakers
- Education events and activities

Basic Boating Course – February 21, 2026

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, will host a Basic Boating Course on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the District Learning Center.

This course is ideal for first-time boaters or experienced boaters looking to refresh their knowledge of Pennsylvania boating regulations, safety requirements, and best practices. The classroom-based course includes a certification exam at the end of the day. Participants who successfully complete the course will earn a Basic Boating Education Certificate.

Date: Saturday, February 21, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Clinton County Conservation District
45 Cooperation Lane, Mill Hall, PA 17751
Eligibility: Open to individuals 11 years of age and older.
Cost: Free to attend; $10 certification fee for the Boating Education Certificate
Lunch: A lunch break will be provided; lunch is not included (please bring snacks/drinks)

We would like to share an opportunity to support a local child and their family as they bravely battle Neuroblastoma. A Chicken BBQ Benefit will be held on Sunday, November 9th at the Nittany Valley Fire Company.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to help the family with medical and related expenses during this difficult time.

We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy a great meal, and show your support for one of our community’s own.

The Clinton Conservation District is seeking quotes for snow removal and salting services to take place at 45 Cooperation Lane, Mill Hall, Pa 17751.

Quotes will be accepted untill November 10th, 2025 at 5:00 PM and may be delivered to the District Office or emailed to [email protected].

Interested parties may view the site any time at normal bussiness hours. Vendors must sign in at the District prior to viewing the site.

Did you know that October is Riparian Buffer Month?🌲🌱

Riparian buffers are areas adjacent to water bodies made up of tree, shrubs, and/or perennial plants that provide a wide variety of conservation benefits including, filtering sediment and nutrients, providing shade and habitat for aquatic life, and stabilizing streambanks!

The annual Farm City Family Festival has been cancelled for the September 20th, 2025 event. In recent years, the festival has seen a gradual decline in participation from vendors and community interest. With this knowledge, the decision was made to cancel the event for this year with plan already underway for the 2026 event. Taking this year away from the event will allow the District to reimagine the festival and explore new ways to make it more engaging, relevant and beneficial for the community.
We thank the community for its continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026!
