Thank you to all who supported Community Reusables- our pilot program is over- grateful to so many- thank you to the Cafes that were so excited to be able to offer reusables to their customers, to the City of Mill Valley for funding our program and their continued support to continue the push for reuse- The amazing Community Church ( with the 🌈 flag on the front of church for allowing us to use their kitchen to wash cups) and so many individuals that helped us. It was a complicated app and challenges out weighed user friendliness. We learned a lot and will continue to work towards Mill Valley moving towards less waste and for the most part reuse is standard in all of our cafes so best practices is to have beverage or meal for here in real plates, silverware and beverage cups and or bring you own cup- the more people that do that- the soon we will have a behavior change- stay tuned-

Community Reusables is not just about a cup. We hope that it is a symbol or reminder 💋 about a lot of little things we can do to make different choices to create a climate solutions society rather than a wasteful one- It’s happening now- and we are all apart of it. Psssst 👋🏼did you know that all single use cups whether they’re plastic, bio plastic or what you might think is just paper or even the cups that say compostable right on the front - they all are only accepted in landfill in most of Marin County. She is a powerhouse in the reuse moment and a fabulous person- her team developed the perfect app( I will share when we’re ready to launch and they made the perfect reusable (returnable) cup and container.
