Please pray for our buddy Kooper!

If you have been keeping up with Kooper you know he has been through so much. In February 2020 he was diagnosed with medullablastoma. He battled through that to have in almost immediately return in November of 2020. He then began a clinical trial that after 2 years it melted the tumors in his brain away. Fast forward a couple years. And after singing at our church’s camp meeting all week, he had a massive brain bleed. It took some time and with God’s help he pulled through.
This child has been through so much. It’s not even fathomable. If you have been keeping up with him you probably have heard that his blood counts have been low. Really low. The doctors first thought it might have been because of a virus but after multiple blood tests over the last few weeks it was apparent it wasn’t getting any better.
Last week while we were in Cincinnati for a dental appointment they decided to do a bone marrow biopsy. We got the results today.
While I guess it could have been worse. It wasn’t good. He was diagnosed with MDS. He has precancerous cells in his bone marrow. While this is precancerous, he is looking at chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant.
The bone marrow transplant team is supposed to meet tomorrow and give us a call in the next couple days to discuss next steps.
So as you can probably tell we are devastated and hearts are broke. But we know where our help comes from. And God has saw it to bring him through 2 battles with brain cancer and a massive brain bleed. And He can do it again. So please please pray. He needs all the prayer he can get right now. So please,please, please pray.
Once we hear back from the doctors on next steps I’ll update everyone.
