Stay weather aware! Looks like we could potentially see bad weather this evening

8:20a 8/1:
There is a risk for damaging wind across Central Alabama, associated with a line of thunderstorms moving through the region this afternoon and evening. The higher risk area (level 2/5) is located across areas northeast of Birmingham. In addition, there is a continued risk for isolated flash flooding in areas of heavier thunderstorms. Widespread flooding is not expected.

4:40 PM Wednesday: The remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur move in starting early Thursday morning. The main threat will be heavy rainfall and flash flooding, but there will be a low chance of damaging winds and brief tornadoes tomorrow. For Friday, heavy rainfall and flash flooding will continue to be a threat, as well as a low chance for damaging winds. Never drive through flooded roadways. Remember: Turn around, don't drown!

🇺🇸 Can You Find Them? 🇺🇸

In celebration of America’s 250th Birthday, the City of Millbrook Street Department has painted several round hay bales throughout the city with patriotic designs honoring our nation’s history and spirit. We have about four more to come soon.

These special displays have been placed around Millbrook for residents and visitors to enjoy as we begin celebrating this historic milestone. We invite everyone to keep an eye out as you’re traveling around town and see how many you can find!
