Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County CCEDC is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of members of the community, and each program area has its own advisory committee.

Through quality educational programs, Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County builds strong, healthy youth, adults, families and communities while enhancing the economic, social, agricultural and natural resources of Dutchess County. CCEDC works to extend the educational resources of Cornell University and the New York State Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Human Ecology and Veteri

nary Medicine, the Land Grant university system and other educational institutions, to the people of Dutchess County to foster economic, social and environmental improvement of its individuals, families and communities. CCEDC is a subordinate governmental agency consisting of an unincorporated organization of residents of Dutchess County in cooperation with Cornell University and the United States Department of Agriculture; and in accordance with subdivision 8(b) of section 224 of the County Law as amended. CCEDC works through four main program areas: Agriculture & Horticulture, Environment and Energy, Family & Consumer Education and 4-H Youth Development.

Happy World Bee Day everyone!! Established by the United Nations in 2018 today is a day to learn, promote, and enhance pollinators and their habitats. We have resources below where you can learn more about the holiday and about the bees and pollinators in your backyard. Today through Friday at the Farm and Home Center in Millbrook we have surplus plants from the Master Gardener plant sale available for 50% off 9:00AM-3:00PM.
