Stop by the Horticultural building this week, we'll be there from 10am - 6pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 10am - 8pm Friday and Saturday.

Looking for an engaging activity for your classroom, conservation event, or community program? We are now offering stream table and rainfall simulator demonstrations that bring science to life!

Participants can see firsthand how:

Rainfall affects the land and soil
Water moves across different surfaces
Erosion and sedimentation occur
Conservation practices help protect streams and rivers

Dutchess County Soil & Water Conservation District is offering a Mini Grant program to assist farmers in improving soil health by implementing cover crops.

You must have a current farm plan that includes cover crop implementation to be eligible. The grant is also available to farms that are interested in cover crop application for the first time. Please contact Lauren Drum, AEM Program Technician to create or review your farm plan.
