As we cross the finish line on the Summer Reading Challenge 2026, kids have been picking up their brag tags, spinning the prize wheel and getting their paperback prize books. 6th-grader Katherine has just reached the top spot of reading 200 books, which she did last year as well! She has been participating in our reading challenges for many years and now has 36 brag tags on her chain, including the hardest-to-earn purple 200-book Pterodactyl tag. Way to go, Katherine!

Last Wednesday the library welcomed "Mr. Unpoppable's Blowing Up Dinosaurs" balloon show - and what a fun show it was! This program featured Paleontologist Jungle Jim while he makes the past POP alive as he unearths stories with mammoth-sized balloon art. Kids got to learn about Quetzalcoatlus (flying dinosaur like a pterodactyl), hop inside a giant red balloon dinosaur, learn about dinosaur food (did you know they loved cheese pizza?) and watch Jungle Jim put his whole body inside a balloon! Many thanks to the Friends of the Millburn Library for sponsoring this very "pop-ular" program.🦖
