The Millburn Police Department presents National Night Out tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4 from 6-9 PM at Taylor Park.

DPW REGULATION ENFORCEMENT REMINDER:

-Per Ordinance 2643-23, all Garbage and recycling must be placed in bins secured with a lid.
-Unsecured bags and bins attract wildlife, such as bears, that tear through garbage.
-Within the same date of collection, remove bins and keep in a location not visible from the street.

Failure to adhere to these provisions will result in a direct fine to residents.

The following is an update from the Millburn Office of Emergency Management (OEM) as of 8/2/2026 at 6pm:
..FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...
..HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK...

Rounds of heavy showers with embedded thunderstorms are expected tonight through Monday afternoon with locally high rainfall rates of 1-2"+ per hour possible. Any training of thunderstorms may result in localized flash flooding. (National Weather Service NY).

What residents should do:
-Evacuate immediately, if told to evacuate. Never drive around barricades. Local responders use them to safely direct traffic out of flooded areas.
-Do not walk, swim or drive through flood waters. Turn Around. Don’t Drown!
-Stay off bridges over fast-moving water. Fast-moving water can wash bridges away without warning.
-Stay inside your car if it is trapped in rapidly moving water. Get on the roof if water is rising inside the car.

Please be advised that the milling and paving work originally scheduled to take place on Monday, July 27, was postponed due to inclement weather. Our qualified contractor, JA Alexander, has revised the project schedule, and the milling and paving work is now scheduled to begin on Friday, July 31. Work hours will be 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Please drive cautiously and follow all road signs and detours. Work is anticipated to be completed on all roads by Wednesday, August 5.

Please remove vehicles from your driveway by 7:00 am each morning. You may park your vehicle on side streets during construction.

Special Note: For residents on South Terrace (between Hobart Rd. and the Rte. 124 service road) and Tulip Lane, parking may be limited in the surrounding neighborhood.

Important Update: The donation deadline has changed!

The School Supply Donation Drive will now run through August 2 (previously August 13).
There's still time to help local students start the school year with the supplies they need! Donations can be dropped off at the Millburn Fire Department Headquarters, 459 Essex St.

-Erasers/Scissors/Rulers
-Pens/Pencils
