As a reminder, if your garbage is picked up on Thursdays, please put your polycart by the road Wednesday tonight. If your scheduled pick up day is Friday, you will need to put your polycart by the road Thursday night. If your cart is not out the night before and your garbage is not picked up; they will not come back around to get your garbage. (The truck could start picking up as early as 5 am) If we all work together and follow the rules, this issue can be resolved. Thank you for your cooperation.

The City of Millen would like to wish Jimmy Overstreet a Happy Belated Birthday, which was Saturday, August 15th! Jimmy is a street maintenance worker for the City's Public Work's Dept and has been with us since June of 2012. Please help us in wishing him a happy belated birthday.

FRIENDLY REMINDER:

Please have your polycarts by the road the night before your scheduled pickup day. The driver is starting the routes earlier in the mornings due to the horrific heat. If you do not place your cart by the road prior to your scheduled pickup, please do not call City Hall to have the driver sent back to your house. The trucks do have cameras on them so they will know if your cart is out or not. This will cut down on a lot of unnecessary trips going back to streets that have already been picked up. Please share this information to your friends and family that do not have a Facebook. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated!
