Miller City Hall will be Closed on Friday of the Festival, August 28, 2026. We hope everyone has a really good time. Enjoy some good music, good food and good visits with old friends and acquaintances. We will be back open on Monday August 31, 2026.

The city has received several calls concerning chickens/roosters inside the city limits. There are NO roosters allowed within City Limits. The code follows:
Miller Code, Ordinance 205.210
Subsection B, Item #3 - Chickens are allowed subject to the following limitations:
a. Chickens allowed when.
1). Only female chickens are allowed, with no restriction as to breed
2). It shall be unlawful for occupants to keep more than six (6) chickens per tract of land.
3). It shall be unlawful to engage in chicken breeding or fertilizer production for commercial purposes.

There will be a town hall meeting this Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Senior Center at 7 p.m. This meeting will be an informational update for everyone on the previously adopted Comprehensive Plan for the City.

Public service reminder, From the Municipal Code for the City of Miller regarding firework discharge:
Section: 210.2210. Discharge of Fireworks.
a. It shall be unlawful, except on specific dates in July designated by the Board of Aldermen, and then only upon private property with the consent of the owner, for any person within the City limits to fire, set off, use, burn, explode or discharge any firecracker, torpedo, bomb, rocket, pinwheel, fire balloon, roman candle, toy cannon, aerial salute or any other fireworks; provided, however, that this Section shall not apply to any fireworks displays at parks or other public places by a person or organization who is issued a permit by the Board of Aldermen, when it is satisfied that the public safety will not be endangered by such display
b. The Board of Aldermen shall, upon motion and approval by the majority of elected members, designate the specific dates in July referenced in Subsection (a) above.
c. It shall be unlawful for any natural parent, legal guardian or other person having any minor under the age of seventeen years under their legal or actual control to knowingly allow said minor to discharge a firework or fireworks in violation of the provisions of this Section.

This year (2026) the approved dates and times are as follows:
July 3 & 4 Fireworks shall end at midnight.
July 5 Fireworks shall end no later than 10 pm
