🌱 Excellence in Rangeland Management Tour 🌱

Producers, landowners, and conservation enthusiasts are invited to attend the Excellence in Rangeland Management Tour featuring Jeff and Scott Hamilton of Hamilton Farms.

• Marginal Land Usage
• Full-Season Cover Crops
• Composting

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn practical strategies for improving soil health, grazing management, and overall land productivity through regenerative agricultural practices.

South Dakota's grasslands are among the last great strongholds of native prairie in North America.

But these landscapes are disappearing.
🌾 America has lost more than half of its historic grasslands.
🌾 Another 2.5 million acres disappear every year.
🌾 Grassland bird populations have declined more than 40% since 1970.

Those numbers are daunting.

But conservation doesn't happen all at once. It happens one acre at a time.

Every acre restored through SCHF's Working Lands Program creates habitat for pheasants and pollinators, supports ranching families, improves soil health, and helps keep South Dakota's outdoor heritage alive.

Since 2019, donors and landowners have helped SCHF restore and protect more than 14,000 acres across South Dakota.

That's 14,000 acres of hope.
14,000 acres of wildlife habitat.
14,000 acres protected one acre at a time.
