We continue to extend our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Fire Chief Garry Moore. Chief Moore died this day last year in the line of duty.

We work closely with the Whitewater Fire Protection District as they adjoin much of our district.

Over the years we have had the honor and privilege to work directly with Garry on hundreds of calls and trainings.

Chief Moore was dedicated and professional in the ex*****on of his duties and service to others. We miss him, as so many others do as well.

While we do feel bad about the 12 tons of stolen KitKat… somehow a mysterious delivery showed up at our station…

We’re not asking questions.

Free KitKats for anyone who stops by, come before our firefighters eat the “evidence.”

Millersville Rural Fire Protection District with 2 members responded to a mutual aid request to Sedgewickville Fire Protection District.

Responding units from Millersville included:
Brush Truck 3518
UTV 3517
Tanker 3514

Crews from both Millersville and Sedgewickville worked together to establish hand lines and extinguish hot spots using Indian packs and brush units.

The fire was successfully contained to approximately 3 acres.

We appreciate the strong mutual aid partnership between the two departments and the teamwork that helps protect our communities.

This week has been a busy one for Millersville, with out-of-state training and several calls for service.

Two members of the Millersville Rural Fire Protection District traveled to Springdale, Arkansas to complete their annual wildland refreshers, field day, and pack test (WCT).

While there, they also focused on honing their skills in wildland firefighting operations and wildland EMS line positions, continuing to build the knowledge and readiness needed for the upcoming fire season.

We’re proud of their commitment to training and ensuring our department stays prepared to serve and protect our community and neighboring communities.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community.

To everyone who came out for the Pancake Breakfast Benefit, shared our posts, helped cook, served food, cleaned up, and supported in any way, we are truly grateful.

Because of your generosity, we were able to come together and support one of our firefighters and his family during a very difficult time.

This event was a reminder of what makes our community so special: when someone is in need, people show up.

From all of us at the Millersville Fire Department, thank you for standing beside one of our own. ❤️

All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast – Support One of Our Own ❤️🥞🚒

Our department recently experienced something no family ever expects - one of our young firefighters suffered a major medical event. At just 21 years old, he is currently unable to work or drive, and his family is facing unexpected financial strain during this difficult time.

We’re coming together the best way we know how, as a community.
