Penn Manor Education Foundation The Penn Manor School District is committed to excellence and continuous improvement in its educational programs.

The Penn Manor Education Foundation is a charitable organization (501c3) working to enhance the educational experiences of those in the Penn Manor School District. The Penn Manor Education Foundation is a non-profit community based organization dedicated to enhancing and enriching the educational experiences of the students and faculty in the Penn Manor School District public schools. The Penn Man

or Education Foundation- PMEF, provides additional support for projects and/or activities that go beyond the scope of programming normally associated with public education:

Scholarship money for graduating seniors for post-secondary education. Venture Grants, for special classroom activities and programs for which funding is not normally available through school district resources. A cooperative relationship among the school district, business leaders, and the community in general to advance the role of education in society. Since September 2000, over $500,000 in classroom/district venture grants have been awarded!

Today is our final post from the Senior Awards Ceremony for the Class of 2026.
It also includes 2 scholarships that were awarded at Commencement.

*The Rachel E. Miller Memorial Scholarship was presented to Chloe Wolf by Jan Mindish.

*Grant Bradburn and Ava Luciano received the Starrett Metzler Memorial Scholarship from Adam Hess and Cooper Lindsley.

*The Bree Taryn Caffey Memorial Scholarship was presented to Katelyn Breidenstein by Bree’s sister, Arielle Dunkle.

*Luke DeVinney received the Lee “Todd” Amigh Memorial Scholarship for environmental education from Joe Herman.

The following 2 awards were presented at Graduation. Both are endowed by the Penn Manor Alumni Association through PMEF.

*Diana Idrees received the Dr. D.L. Biemesderfer Award as the Class of 2026 Valedictorian.
*Maryam Alfayyadh received the Mary (Filling) Klemmer Award as the Class of 2026 Salutatorian

This post features half of our scholarships that were given in memory of Penn Manor students who we lost too soon. Our final scholarship post tomorrow will include the remaining awards.

*The Chris Shank Memorial Scholarship for Computer Science was presented by Jan Mindish to Tadan Greenawalt.

*Seth Gansner received the Sean Moore Memorial Scholarship for a student pursuing a career in the STEM field.

*The Hans Haverstick Memorial Scholarship for soccer was presented to Thomas Lebo and Adison Ulmer by Dianne Smith.

*Brian Martinez received the Kevin Smith Memorial Scholarship.

*The Megan Lynn Martin Memorial Scholarship was presented to Kayla Streets.

*Haillee Shearer received the Molly Curtis Memorial Scholarship for softball.

*The Craig S. Shyver Memorial Scholarship for music was presented to Janelle Evans.

*Richard Kemmer received the Mario-Angelo Russo Memorial Scholarship for music production from Dominic Russo.

Today we continue posting scholarships as we near the end of the Senior Awards program.

*The PMAA Legacy scholarships were presented by Wendy Letavic to students whose parent(s) were Penn Manor alumni. Recipients were Lillian Rineer and Chase Vinson.
*The Class of 2018 scholarships were awarded to Alexandra Anderson and Gage Myers.
*Reagan Gerlach and Justin Onderdonk received the Class of 2023 scholarships.

*The Millersville Business Association Scholarship was awarded to Lily Howry.

*Em Hale received the Ashton’s Light Award, sponsored by the Lancaster County Community Foundation in memory of Ashton Clatterbuck and presented by Jan Mindish.

We are sharing a few more photos from the Senior class picnic, held after graduation practice on Tuesday.

Thanks to the Penn Manor Alumni Association who created an endowment through PMEF to provide funds to the Senior Class each year to support a year-end event that all students could attend.

The first 2 were presented by Pat Kline.
*The Rintz Family Scholarship, funded by the Herk Rintz family, awards scholarships to 3 students who are furthering their education in a STEM field. Recipients were Sujit Ghimire, David Kirkley, IzEldeen Salem.

*Penn Manor Education Scholarships were presented to 4 students based on academic success & service to school/community. Recipients were Chloe Hook, Joelle Kroesen, Ben Leed, Ethan Markulik.

*Wendy Letavic presented the 6 Mrs Abner McLaughlin Houseknecht Memorial Scholarships to Abby Hilken, Haylee Musser, Aliya Stanley, Kalkidan Tolossa, Jia Jia Yang, Soksopia Yiem. These are students who worked hard to achieve success .

*Dr Jan Mindish presented her scholarships to 10 students based on academic success & service to school/community.

*The John Milliman and Dorothy Dart Milliman Scholarships are funded by Dianne Baireuther and were presented by Scott Stephan to Logan Kuhn and Jenna Railing.

These include music, theater, journalism, English/communication, & fashion design.
Emeritus PMEF board member and retired English teacher, Carole Shellenberger. presented these scholarships.

*Honoring Carole’s parents, the Olga & Spencer Harvie Memorial Scholarship was presented to Aiden Whitfield.
*The Shellenberger-Hosler Scholarship was presented to Lyla Walter.
*Layla White received the Christine Weidinger Memorial Scholarship.
*The William Duncan, Jr Memorial Scholarship was presented to Matt Palmeri.
*Rayn Andreychek received the Nicki & Marnice Charles Scholarship.
*The James Harne Memorial Scholarship was presented to Evelyn Sweet.
*Aubrey Squires received the William “Bill” Fisher Memorial Scholarship.
