PMEF welcomed new board members, Taylor Skelly and Mary Beth Williams, in July.

We are honored to add 4th generation Penn Manor grad, Taylor Skelly (2013), to our board. Expanding his family's deep PM roots, he married a PM grad, Emily Hutchinson Skelly (2011) and the oldest of their three children, Quinn, will start Kindergarten at Penn Manor this fall. Taylor’s parents, grandparents and great grandmother are all Penn Manor alumni.

Taylor is Senior Vice President for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall. Taylor feels ready to serve since he "became aware of PMEF through my basketball coach and longtime supporter of PMEF, Don Martin."

Mary Beth Williams moved with her family to Millersville in 2022 to start her job as Vice President of Student Affairs at Millersville University. She and her husband, Jay Williams, have 3 children, Kelly (25), a professional in Wilmington NC; James (20), a Penn Manor grad enrolled at Millersville University; and Thomas (15), a student at Penn Manor High School.

Mary Beth has witnessed PMEF’s support of music and arts programs, benefitting her children. She learned more about our work by attending committee meetings during the past year. She is "eager to give back through service to the Foundation," and we're delighted to have her on board.

The Agriculture Department received a grant in the spring and are now putting to use their new livestock scales and RFID tag reader.

Neil Fellenbaum, Ag Department Chair, stated that the purchase will “aid students in tracking rate of gain and feed conversion for student livestock projects. This was made possible through a Venture Grant from the Penn Manor Education Foundation. Thank you for your support.”

New Town Food & Spirits sponsored a Christmas in July event where they asked guests and employees to stuff backpacks with everything Penn Manor students will need for Back to School.

According to General Manager, Kayla Miller, “We want to support the school district that has supported us the past 2 years and counting.”

Penn Manor social worker, Joy Meley, and PMEF Executive Director, Jan Mindish, picked up nine backpacks stuffed with school supplies that will be distributed to students.

Hosted by state Reps Rivera and Smith-Wade-El, eligible students in their districts received backpacks, clothing, shoes, haircuts, and school supplies. They also enjoyed food, music and games.
PMEF worked with Penn Manor social workers to stock our tables with school supplies and fun items to start the school year off on a positive note.

Enjoy this video of students performing on stage.
AP Spanish and Honors Spanish 4 students traveled to Harrisburg to see performances of the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet.

According to teacher Katharine Rodriguez, “the ballet connects students with various aspects of Hispanic cultures. The first show was a tour of Latin America via famous genres of music from different countries. The second performance focused on traditional sounds of Spain, integrating iconic cultural elements into the show.”

In 2025-26, PMEF distributed over $140,000 in Venture Grant funding that impacted students in every building in the Penn Manor School District.
