We'll be closing early today (May 23) at 12 pm and reopening May 26 at 12 pm. We're getting our new carpet installed and need a little time to move the furniture.

Don't worry about the book sale. It will continue on to 1 pm as usually.

We have something new to add to the list of the ways your Library can help. One of our patrons is restoring an historic WW1 radio receiver and needed to cast a missing critical part in aluminum. They used our 3d printer to print out the part they needed in order to make the “pattern” for the mold. They took the 3D printed part and pushed it into sand to create the mold. Then all they had to do was pour aluminum in their sand mold. Needless to say, we were very curious as to what we were printing could be used for.

We've been hearing from a number of folks wondering what happened to the Tiny Libraries in Veteran's Park. They were taken down for the repairs in the seating area of the park. Once that work was completed, we were told we needed to find a new location for them. Right now, they are getting much needed TLC after this long winter. Once we have their new location sorted out, we will let you know. In the meantime, come visit the big library just down the street if you need any books or food. If you are wondering what we mean by “Tiny Library”: here is a picture of them from way back in 2013 when they were first installed.
