Today MVFD held a "soft" truck dedication in which Pastor Bill led us in a prayer and with our most active senior member, Marve Poeller behind the wheel, our members pushed Engine 2 into her bay. Then we enjoyed a good old-fashioned potluck family picnic to celebrate our 95th year in service - complete with a dunk tank from Kabcare, corn hole tournaments including bragging rights, and a waterslide bounce house. Thank you for all the contributions! A great time was had by all.

A huge thank you to Sprinkles Creamery for the delicious cool treats after our drafting drill at Bennington Vol. Fire Dept! No better way to end a night filled with useful knowledge.

Yesterday we were invited out to the Cheektowaga training towers to practice putting out car fires with the Bowmansville Volunteer Fire Association. This was a great training opportunity to break in our new Engine 2 as well! Always train to improve your technique and hone your skills.
