Millington Central Middle High School is proud to announce the hiring of Scott Blair as the new Head Football Coach of the Millington Trojans.
Coach Blair brings more than two decades of experience in education and athletics, along with a proven track record of developing student-athletes, building successful programs, and fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, and excellence.
A graduate of the University of Memphis, Coach Blair earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education before completing a Master of Education degree from Union University. He holds Tennessee certifications in United States and World History as well as Human Development and Motor Skills (K-12).
Throughout his distinguished career, Coach Blair has served in numerous leadership positions, including Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Head Baseball Coach, and Strength and Conditioning Coach. His coaching experience spans several respected programs across West Tennessee, including Bolton High School, Central High School, Whitehaven High School, Millington Central High School, Vance Middle School, Fayette-Ware High School, Halls High School, Jackson Central-Merry, Bolivar Central High School, and Liberty Technology Magnet High School.
Coach Blair is perhaps best known for leading one of West Tennessee’s most impressive football turnarounds during his tenure at Fayette-Ware High School. After inheriting a program that had struggled for years, he guided the Wildcats from a 1-9 season in 2014 to an 8-3 record and a playoff appearance in 2016, marking the school’s first postseason appearance since 2007. Under his leadership, Fayette-Ware developed one of the state’s top run defenses while producing multiple 1,000-yard rushers.
A strong advocate for student success both on and off the field, Coach Blair’s philosophy emphasizes that academics come first. His commitment to character development, discipline, and accountability has helped numerous student-athletes earn opportunities to continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level. Former players have gone on to compete at institutions including the University of Memphis, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University, Southern Miss, Alcorn State University, UT Martin, and others, with several advancing to professional football opportunities.
Coach Blair and his wife, Sondra, reside in Atoka and have two sons, Adam Blair and Brayden Frazier. Their family remains actively involved in the community and shares a passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential.
As the Trojans begin this exciting new chapter, we are confident Coach Blair’s experience, leadership, and dedication to student-athletes will have a tremendous impact on our football program and school community. Please join us in welcoming Coach Scott Blair to Millington Central Middle High School. We look forward to the future of Trojan Football under his leadership.
