Water Main Break Update

Water service has been restored, and residents affected by the water main break should now have water.

Residents may experience intermittent changes in water pressure as the system continues to stabilize. City of Millington Public Works crews will continue working on the water lines tomorrow to complete necessary repairs.

If you are still without water, please contact Millington City Hall at 901-873-5701 so we can ensure the issue is addressed.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as our Public Works crews continue working to resolve the issue.

It’s kind of chic for us to give Harrold Building updates.

The Harrold Building is under renovation, and we’re working to preserve its four historic brick walls while exploring what the next chapter of this community space could look like.

But we don’t want to dream alone.

We want to hear from the dreamers, creators, entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations, and community groups who can help bring those ideas to life.

That’s where the Request for Interest (RFI) comes in.

Maybe you envision a smaller-scale Crosstown Concourse: a place for events, venue spaces, history exhibits, local businesses, workshops, a boba or coffee shop, and a community lounge.

Maybe you see entertainment: bowling, skating, an arcade, or something completely new.

Maybe you imagine long tables filled with people, the sound of conversation throughout the room, and a restaurant bringing the community together over a great meal.

Or maybe you have an idea we haven’t even considered yet.

Whatever your vision is, we want to hear it.

The RFI gives businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs, and community groups an opportunity to share their ideas and help the City explore what could be possible inside the Harrold Building.

This is about more than preserving history.

It’s about finding a future that makes sense for Millington and creates a space the community can truly use, enjoy, and be proud of.

Have an idea for The Harrold? Submit an RFI and share your vision.

Help Save the Harrold.

The next chapter starts with an idea.

Water Main Break

UPDATE – September 1: As City crews continue addressing the water main breaks and related repairs, residents throughout the water system may experience temporary changes in water pressure today.

Temporary water service interruptions are expected to be limited to the Indian Meadows/Bill Knight Road area, primarily Montgomery Road, Tecumseh Road and Saratoga Road. Residents in these areas may experience rolling water cutoffs as crews complete repairs and make adjustments to the system. Individual interruptions should generally last no more than a few hours.

If you are in the Indian Meadows/Bill Knight Road area and have been without water for more than three hours, please contact the City at 901-873-5701.

If you are outside of this area and lose water service at all, please contact us at 901-873-5701 so our crews can be made aware.

Because crews will be actively working throughout the day, we may not be able to provide an update for every individual interruption.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as crews work to complete these repairs and return the system to normal operation.

🚨UPDATE: Dogs returned to Owners. Thanks all!

FOUND DOGS | SADDLE BROOK DRIVE 🐾

Millington Police officers picked up these two pups near Saddle Brook Drive (Between Juana and Richard Wilson) and got them safely off the street. They’re safe and in our care for now.

If they belong to you or you recognize them, please contact the Millington Police Department at 901-872-3333. We’d love to get them home.

Unless reunited with their owner, they’ll be transferred by the Shelby County Health Department within 48 hours, often sooner, to Memphis Animal Services, where they’ll become available for foster or adoption.

Please share and help us find their people!
