⚽︎ Have you noticed the soccer goals over at Aycock Park? ⚽︎

If you have not had the chance to check it out, we have installed new soccer goals that are suited for recreational use. This time, these soccer goals will last longer than our previous set.

We are constantly updating our parks so the community can gather in recreational environments. Whether it is to have a picnic, kids on the playground set, or playing a game of soccer, we care about you enjoying your recreational areas.

These are not the only soccer goals we will have for the City. It is just the beginning.

While we wait for the completion of the Big Creek Park Soccer Fields, please enjoy using the soccer goals at Aycock Park. Millington Central Middle High School’s Lady’s Soccer Team has been putting them into use. We hope you use them too.ᯓ⚽︎

TODAY IS THE DAY!

Goat Days is happening TODAY from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ed Haley Sports Complex!

Live music. Food trucks. Local vendors. A Jeep Show & Shine. A FREE Kid Zone. And, of course, GOATS!

But we have a couple of extra surprises planned, too.

Keep an eye out for our Goat Days scavenger hunt. A limited number of participants will be able to redeem their completed hunt for FREE cotton candy.

Planning to grab a Goat Days shirt? Beginning at 10 a.m., the first 25 people to snag a shirt will also receive a ticket for FREE face painting!

GOAT ALERT!

We’ve heard a few goats may have gotten loose at Orgill Golf Course…

Tomorrow, 10 mini goats will be hiding throughout the golf course, and we need our golfers to help find them!

If you spot one of the hidden goats during your round, pick it up and bring it in to receive a FREE hot dog!

There are only 10 goats hiding out there, so keep your eyes peeled while you play!

TOMORROW IS GOAT DAYS!

We’ve packed a lot into one day, Millington!

Join us Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ed Haley Sports Complex for Goat Days.

You’ll find goats from two different farms, live music throughout the day, 30+ local vendors, food trucks, a Jeep Show & Shine and a 100% FREE Kid Zone featuring bounce houses, a basketball dunk, ninja gym, 35 foot slide and more.

Jackson Elrod at 10 a.m.
Spectrum at noon
Open mic at 2 p.m.
Jeep judging at 1:30 p.m.
Jeep awards at 2:30 p.m.

COME HUNGRY SATURDAY MORNING!

Before Goat Days gets underway, join the Lions Club of Millington for its annual Pancake Breakfast!

Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Ed Haley Sports Complex.

Pancake Breakfast: $5 per ticket
Goat Days parking: $5 per vehicle

Then stick around because Goat Days runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with live music, goats, food trucks, local vendors, a Jeep Show & Shine and a completely FREE Kid Zone!
