Millis SEPAC

Millis SEPAC The Millis SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council)is to promote a community network for parents of children with disabilities!

The Millis SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council)is to promote a community network for parents of children with disabilities and to provide a forum to share information and discuss issues of interest and concern regarding our children. This group provides information to connect the Millis community with the office of Pupil Personnel Services and parents in order to share information, pr

ovide educational resources, inform on current community resources and raise community awareness for children with special needs. Participation in this group provides a unique opportunity to connect parents, educators, and administrators in reaching the common goal of addressing the needs of special education within our community. In keeping with that goal, we would ask that all members observe the following rules with regard to posts on this page.
1. All posts are subject to administrator approval
2. Please keep posts generalized as this is a community page. Should you have a specific individual concern please email the Millis SEPAC or send a PM to the page administrator.
3. Please be advised that all information posted is obtained from community resources and subject to change so prior to attending an event it is wise to call ahead and ensure that no changes to scheduled events have occurred.

Thank you to those who attended our last meeting. We appreciate your interest and care in supporting the Millis SEPAC. Unfortunately, there are not enough volunteers to continue to offer this resource at this time. Community members interested in re-opening this group may contact the Millis Public School's Office of Student Support Services for more information. The Student Services Office is always available to discuss questions and concerns. 508-376-7000

Millis Public Schools will continue to offer workshops formerly run by the SEPAC. Topics include navigating the IEP process, how to address bullying in school, and estate planning.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with workshops, events, and offered their time to speak with community members who sought much needed support and advice.

Important SEPAC Meeting:

The Millis Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) wants to continue to provide resources for our community. Unfortunately, as circumstances have changed, this group may no longer be able to remain active in Millis.

A meeting will be held Tuesday, January 28th from 6pm-7pm in the Millis Public Library Roche Bros Room. This is an open call for support in continuing the Millis SEPAC. All district caregivers and interested parties are welcome.

The Millis SEPAC provides input to school district leaders about policies, programs, and services that directly impact students in need of or engaged in special education services. Free workshops and speakers on special interests are offered annually. SEPAC has been a valued resource over the course of many years for caregivers in navigating the path of supporting children with learning needs who may or may not receive services through an IEP or 504 plan.

Please, join us Tuesday, January 28th at 6pm and learn how you can become involved.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Take care,

Millis SEPAC
