Last night at 9:15 we were paged out to assist on a structure fire in red creek... Thank you, Millry and Red Creek... After a long few days we all need thank our first responders for everything they have done....

Yesterday morning at 7:21 North Oak Grove was called to assist Choctaw County with a structure fire. If you look through the pictures you see that one room has little to no damage to the living space of the room. The reason this happened is because the doors to that room were both closed. This didn't allow the fire to spread as quickly to that area of the house. This is why fire departments across the nation are wanting their residents to sleep with the doors shut to help slow the spread of fire in a structure. North Oak Grove would like to thank Silas, Lusk, and Toxey volunteer fire departments for all the help yesterday.

This is an announcement from the association... we will now be automatically called out for a structure fire in Copeland, red creek, or Millry....

As of this afternoon, the new Structure Fire Dispatch protocol will go into effect. It is imperative that you let dispatch get done with the dispatching before you answer the radio and all the unimportant chatter begins. Please, get this out to your members ASAP. In order for this to work, the radio chatter must be controlled.
We have asked that they set the tones off for all ( like pager test), then announce the message along with primary dept. Please assume IC if you are 1st on scene so the incident can transition into a safe, effective operation. Communicate to other departments as to what you need and or want them to do before arrival. This will make the transition much easier and more effective.
Please be patient while this transition is in process.

We're giving away fire extinguishers for round hay bailers to members of the North Oak Grove community. Come to the station Saturday, June 16th between 8:00-10:00 am to pick it up.
