Last weekend K9 Archer competed in the 2023 High Desert Police K9 Association Challenge. K9 Archer was a force to be reckoned with this year as he placed 2nd on Narcotics, Agility, Hardest Grip, and Obedience. He was able to grab third in Fastest dog and Hardest Hitting Dog.

Every year this event serves as a fundraiser for trainings at small agencies and for the Retired K9 Medical Fund. The money raised goes to instructors, training costs, and for medical costs which are no longer covered by respective agencies since the dog is retired. Thanks to such a supportive community, it was a complete success. Thank you all for your support and congratulations to all of the contestants!

We also wanted to give a shout out to the Natrona County Thank a First Responder Non Profit for presenting us with a check prior to the competition. Thanks to their generosity we were able to cover the $100 entry fee! Thanks again and make sure to check out their page!

More photos to come!

Hey everybody! We are just checking in to make sure everyone is making it through the winter. So sorry for the lack of posts, we have been buried in the snow for the last several months.

There are some exciting things coming up! First is the 2023 High Desert Police K9 Challenge in Hotchkiss, CO on April 22. As we have mentioned, this will likely be K9 Archer's last competition as he will be retiring this fall. So....if you are in the area or want to make a point to be in the area, you should come check it out and see what police dogs can really do. There is a raffle and some awesome prizes for you to take home!

Also, in June 2023 K9 Archer is going to make an appearance at Casper College's KEY Camp. KEY or Knowledge Enrichment for Youth is a one-week summer residential program for young people who are intellectually curious and excited to learn. Our section is all about Crime Scene Investigation and Evidence. We are so excited to show the kids at the camp how K9 Units can be a valuable asset when collecting evidence.

We are looking forward to some warmer weather coming up. We will post more pictures as soon as we can!

We do have some pictures of our adventures and finds in the last few months! See them below!

Have a very Merry Christmas!
