The Dept had a busy Saturday this last weekend.

Saturday morning the Dept delivered 30 Christmas bags to seniors, elderly and home bound in the community. We were able to double the people we gave to this year with the very generous help of some very special members of the community. They helped us make this a special time for many of our neighbors this year. We hope to be able to reach even more of our community next Christmas.

Chief Ortiz won the City’s Chili Cook Off for the second year in a row. Auxiliary member Jamie Ortiz won second place in the cornbread cook off. Congratulations to you both!

The Dept then participated in the parade Saturday evening. The Dept was assisted with traffic control from Cool Garner and Greenwood VFDs as well as the Parker County SO reserves. We cannot thank these Depts enough for their help in making sure our community is safe so all can enjoy the parade.

We love our community and are honored to be able to serve the members of this community! e
