Miss Emma, Miss Megan, and the play crew are knee deep in rehearsals for our summer presentation of Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach!

Shows will be July 17 and July 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the MCS stage in the gym.

Thank you Zion Evangelical Church for hosting rehearsals and to Millstadt Consolidated Schools for allowing us to use their stage for the performances!

There's no better way to celebrate America's 250th than with our Millstadt VFW Post 7980 leading out 3rd Field Trip!

Thank you to VFW 7980 Post Commander Mick Cohagan for teaching us about the history of the VFW as an organization, sharing his story of service, and explaining ALL of the ways that the VFW makes an impact with our veterans and our community.

The Millstadt VFW is also celebrating their 80th Anniversary on July 18, 2026. Please RSVP with them by July 10, 2026.

Millstadt is getting ready to celebrate America's 250th Birthday!
The Millstadt Library is bringing a Freedom 250 Truck which is a mobile museum funded by IMLS. The Millstadt Chamber of Commerce is helping to host a great event for two days - July 29 and July 30.

If you would like to be a part of this event, please reach out. The museum open hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and hosted at the old Mertz lot, now Mac Medical, who is graciusoly hosting us!

A mini library shelf for our latest Homemade program! These 3D printed shelves and books are the perfect collectable for book lovers.

Join us next month for Handmade- Mini Photo Canvas.
RSVPs are required by Friday, July 10. We will supply two small canvas and adhesive.

A beautiful day to learn about getting back to nature at the Aymer Homestead on our 2nd Field Trip of our 2026 Summer Reading and Activity Program!

An immense thank you to Abbie, Justin, and Pennie who showed us around their land and taught our library learners about animals, gardening, and homesteading. We pulled beets, fed bunnies, and gathered eggs from ducks and chickens. We even tasted fresh pickled vegetables, lamb, and rabbit.

Thank you to Millstadt Ambulance Service Chief Jennifer Goetz and Millstadt Union Fire Department Chief Kurt Pellman for joining us for our First Responder Story Time. Our guests from the Millstadt Police Department were unable to join us as they were called away.

Our library learners went full STEAM ahead on our first STEAM Friday of Summer Reading 2026 making bouncy balls!

We played in the dirt at today's first Field Trip of our 2026 Summer Reading and Activity Program! Thank you to everyone at Millstadt Gardens for giving us a tour of the facility and teaching us more about the background work that the Millstadt Greenhouses to bring plant to life and to so many local store fronts!
Our library learners also got to plant their own pots of flowers.
