Our friends over at Morrison Talbott Library in Waterloo have had some issues with fraudulent donation requests.

We would like to remind everyone in our community that donation requests from the Millstadt Library will be from a Millstadt Library Representative. Usually in the form of an in-person, email, or print letter with our letterhead.

If you ever receive any donation requests that may seem odd or are from people you do not recognize, please contact our library to verify.

⚠️ FRAUD ALERT ⚠️

It has come to Morrison Talbott Library's attention that a company operating under the names Totes To Go, Totes 2 Go, and/or uac4u.com is fraudulently contacting local businesses by email, letter, and phone, requesting donations of $500 or more while claiming to represent or benefit the library.

Morrison Talbott Library has no affiliation with this company and has never
authorized anyone to solicit donations on our behalf. We have learned that more
than 150 businesses may have been contacted.

If the library conducts fundraising activities, all communications will come directly from Morrison Talbott Library through our official channels.

This matter has been reported to local authorities for investigation. If you have been contacted by this company or believe you may have been a victim of this scam, please contact the Waterloo Police Department's non-emergency number to file a report.

Please help us protect our community by sharing this information.

Again, the library is not benefiting in any way from this fraudulent activity.
