The Milltown Police Department advises that Main Street is temporarily closed in the area of Cave Country until approximately 4:30 PM.

Motorists are asked to please use Mill Street as an alternate route and avoid the area if possible to help reduce congestion.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this temporary closure is in place.

The Milltown Police Department would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association for their generous donation of a Blackhawk Dynamic Entry Tool.

This valuable piece of equipment enhances our department’s operational readiness and provides our officers with additional resources to respond safely and effectively when specialized entry tools are needed.

As part of National Police Week we thought it would be a great time for you to get to know our officers!

The Milltown Police Department is proud to recognize Patrolman Kevin Goss during National Police Week for his dedication, service, and commitment to our community.

👮 Favorite Part of Milltown:“My favorite part of Milltown is the strong sense of community. People here genuinely care about one another, and it’s rewarding to serve in a town where neighbors support each other.”

💬 What Motivates Him to Serve:“My motivation to be a police officer comes from wanting to serve others, protect the community, and make a positive difference in people’s lives during both everyday situations and difficult moments.”

🎣 Hobbies & Interests:Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with family and friends, being involved in the community, and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and bike riding.

🐾 Pets:Kevin has a yellow lab that serves as his loyal hunting buddy. Together they’ve shared many adventures and are looking forward to many more.

🍽 Favorite Food:“Classic comfort food — especially anything homemade. There’s nothing like a good home-cooked meal that reminds you of Sunday dinners at Grandma’s house.”

🚑 If He Wasn’t a Police Officer:Kevin says he would still want a career focused on helping others and serving the community. In addition to serving with the Milltown Police Department, Kevin is also a firefighter with the Leavenworth Volunteer Fire Department and an EMT with Crawford County EMS, continuing his dedication to helping others both on and off duty.

😄 Fun Fact:“A lot of people are surprised by how different my personality is off duty — I enjoy hobbies and activities that keep life balanced and fun.”

🚔 Milltown Police Department – National Police Week 2026 🇺🇸

This week, we proudly join communities across the nation in recognizing National Police Week — a time to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and to thank those who continue to serve each and every day.

Law enforcement officers answer the call at all hours, facing challenges and dangers most will never see, all in service to protecting their communities. Here in Milltown, we are grateful for the support of our citizens, neighboring agencies, first responders, and the many families who stand behind those who wear the badge.

During National Police Week, we pause to remember the fallen, support the survivors, and recognize the dedication of officers currently serving across our country.

From all of us at the Milltown Police Department — thank you to every law enforcement officer, past and present, for your sacrifice, courage, and commitment to service.
