On Sunday, some of our members attended the Jersey Pride Festival in Asbury Park for the second straight year! Even though we were there to march in the parade and not as primary EMS coverage, we ended up providing care to 4 patients, including two in conjunction with .

At the same time, we had a crew at the Middlesex County Fire Academy to stand by at a live burn, and also had a crew that answered multiple calls in town.

No matter who you are, no matter who you love - we are here for you. 🏳️‍🌈🚑

Our hearts are with the Guise family and the Milltown Fire Department at this sorrowful time. Mr. Guise’s 75+ years of service, selflessness, and commitment to our community are an example to us all.

The Milltown Fire Department is deeply saddened by the passing of George “Grandpa” Guise. For more than 75 years, Grandpa dedicated himself to serving the Milltown community with unwavering commitment and pride. His legacy stands as a true example of what it means to be a volunteer and a public servant, always putting others before himself.

We ask that you please keep the Guise family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Grandpa’s impact on this department and this community will never be forgotten.

This past weekend, the Milltown Rescue Squad was excited to have a table at Rutgers Day! We showed off our gear, talked about our 24/7 volunteer organization, and answered questions from potential new members. We thank Rutgers for the opportunity, and are looking forward to next year!

Remembering our Life Member, John Stadelman, who passed away yesterday at the age of 82.

Mr. Stadelman played an important role on the Milltown Rescue Squad for decades, as a first responder and as a member of the Executive Board. Though inactive for several years now, Mr. Stadelman’s impact remains.

“I’m the driver,” he would tell us. Yes, Mr. Stadelman, you are!

With extreme winter weather comes new challenges! On Wednesday, January 28, the Milltown Rescue Squad took advantage of the snow at Borough Park to practice patient packaging, movement, and transport in these situations, using equipment off Rescue 39.
