📢COMMUNITY UPDATE 📢

Thank you to everyone who so generously donated to help the family affected by the recent fire. The response from our community has been truly incredible!

We have received so many generous donations of clothing and other essential items that we now have an overflow. Rather than let these items go unused, we would like to make them available to anyone in our community who may be in need.

If you or someone you know could benefit from clothing or other donated items, please feel free to stop by and take a look. Items will be available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00PM

Please meet an officer at the station, and they will assist you with getting into the community center to look through the available items.

Early this morning, our community experienced a devastating house fire. Thankfully, the family is safe, but they have lost everything.

We are asking our community to come together and help this family during an incredibly difficult time. Donations can be dropped off at the Millvale Police Department.

Items currently needed include:
• Toiletries and personal care items
• 17-year-old girl: Women’s clothing – Medium | Shoes – Size 6
• 16-year-old boy: Clothing – Large/XL | Shoes – approximately Size 10–12
• Dad: Clothing – Large | Shoes – Size 11
• Cat food
• Any donation that you deem appropriate for this family
• We will not be handling any monetary donations

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Please help us support this family as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding after losing their home and belongings.

Millvale Days 2026 is upon is, please take note of important details regarding parking and street closures begining today, Thursday Septemeber 17th.

*Grant Ave closes around lunch time Thursday 9/17 – No parking from Sedgwick to School*

*No parking on the even side on Sedgwick for the additional traffic while Grant Ave is closed*

Starting Thursday Sept 17th, 10:00 am until Monday at 12:00 pm
*No Parking on Sheridan Street from the Bridge to the entrance of Family Renaissance Practice.
* No parking on Sherman St on the first parking stall on side closest to Double L
*No Parking on Grant Ave in stall across from Cousins Bar

Starting Friday at 12:00 pm - Saturday at 11:00 pm
* No Parking on North Ave from Klopfer to the Parking lot at Winston’s.
* No Parking on Bauerlein St behind the Doughboy island

Starting Friday at 4:00 pm till Friday at 11:00 pm
* No Parking on North Ave from the intersection of Howard to Farragut Street & in Holy Spirit Parking Lot.
*No Parking on Howard St from North Ave intersection to Gerwig St

Starting Saturday morning at 9:00 am till 6:00 pm
* No Parking on Lincoln Ave from Sedgwick Street to North Ave

Grant Ave will be closing around lunch time On Thursday and reopening on Sunday. The detour route will be Lincoln Ave.

North Ave will be closed during the hours of Millvale Days for the wrestling ring in front of the VFW. Please use Evergreen Ave for the detour route.

The Millvale Police are investigating the theft of a light blue Masi bicycle. Last seen on Lincoln Ave on July 1st. Please reach out with any information.

🚨 ‼️ We have been getting a lot of questions and concerns regarding E-bikes. Please review the flyer. Officers will be enforcing E-Bike (along with other off road vehicle) violations.

🚲 Not every bike with a battery is considered an e-bike under Pennsylvania law. Some are classified as motor vehicles or off-road vehicles and can’t be legally ridden on public roads or in our parks.

Before you twist the throttle, take 30 seconds to check out this guide. It could save you from:
⚠️ A citation
⚠️ Vehicle impoundment
⚠️ A trip to court

If your e-bike has:
✅ Working pedals
✅ A motor under 750 watts
✅ A top assisted speed of 20 MPH
…you’re headed in the right direction.

Whether you’re riding to work, cruising the neighborhood, or just enjoying the outdoors, knowing the law helps keep **you—and everyone else—safe.

There is a never ending amount of scams praying on the hard working honest citizens of our town and the country as a whole. PLEASE, I cannot express more strongly that no law enforcement agency is going to ask you for money in any form to stop you from being arrested. If you receive a call asking for money to stop an arrest warrant, to stop a loved one from getting arrested, to pay for a medical procedure for a loved one, saying you have won a large sum of money and needing a small amount of money to claim the prize or when buying a pet, Hang Up! Call the correct agency that the person is claiming to be from via a direct publicly listed phone number or call 911 and ask for an officer in your jurisdiction to call you back. DO NOT in any way exchange any monies, talk to the agency they are impersonating directly. If you have exchanged money through a scam contact your local police ASAP to report the theft.

The Millvale Police Department looks forward to greeting all of the 2026 Millvale Music Festival attendees.
Please be aware of driveways, "No Parking " signs and areas where state and local law prohibit parking. We strongly encourage folks take the very convenient shuttle to and from Millvale.
If you park where not permitted, your vehicle will be removed at your expense. Please don't let this be the way we meet!

I want to take a moment to recognize and thank the woman and men that make up The Millvale Police Department. The ten officers that are mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, partners, daughter's and sons wake up every day and put on The Millvale Police uniform with such great Pride, Dignity and Dedication.
This is a time in history when highly qualified officers that I'm proud to say our Millvale officers are, can choose to work in just about any department. Millvale Police Department has retained all but one full time officers in my 11 years in Millvale. This is because of the environment we as a borough and a community have created. We all love Millvale and deeply care about our residents, business's and visitors.
As a nation we celebrate National Police Week, May 10 - 16th, honoring all of the officers that have made the ultimate sacrifice. We leave each day for our shifts saying goodbye to our love ones with the full awareness that we may not return to our families. Yet we still choose to make that sacrifice so that we can keep our amazing town of Millvale safe!
