Yesterday our team was alerted to assist Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company with a confined space rescue with people trapped in a grain silo. Crews worked for hours attempting to free both. We appreciate all of the additional resources that assisted in the operation including numerous fire departments, Sussex County Department of Public Safety 911 and Special Operations Team, Kent County Special Operations Team, NCCSPECIALOPS, Salisbury Fire Department Special Operations, and Ocean City Special Operations.

🎄🚨 Looks like Christmas came a little early in Sussex County… and it’s flashing red & blue.

Take a walk around our brand-new SCTRT TR-3 unit as it officially enters service today. This addition strengthens our technical rescue capabilities and helps us continue delivering a higher level of service to our community.

A huge thank you to Sussex County Government for the grant funding and continued support that made this possible. We’re proud to put this unit to work.

Today we assisted with a commercial MVC with heavy entrapment. Great job by all of the assisting agencies! Extrication was completed in 36 min!
