If you listened in on the scanner today, you definitely heard some chaos! đźš’đź’¨

Within just four minutes, we were hit with three back-to-back 911 calls right as we were wrapping up another. Days like this used to be rare, but they are becoming our new normal. Luckily, teamwork makes the dream work!Huge thanks to Milo Fire Department for lending us two drivers. Because of them, we split our double-medic truck to cover calls in Milo and Brownville simultaneously.

For our call in LaGrange, G&H Ambulance stepped up on their way back from another run, taking great care of the patient and transporting them to Bangor.

Later, our dedicated crew split the truck again to cover a a wilderness rescue call in Upper KI (routing to Greenville) while still keeping a medic-level truck right here in town.

We are incredibly grateful for our crew's split-second decision-making. Today proved that when first responders have each other's backs and ignore the "lines" dividing us, our community wins.

Shoutout to Chris, Pete, Trey, Chip, and the two Milo firefighters—thank you for your incredible hard work today! 👏👏

Employees of TRAS have been asked about the $0 listed for Ambulance in the Brownville Public Safety Budget. To clarify, the ambulance service is not being defunded, and we will continue providing 911 service to the town.

Last year, additional funds were allocated to cover a backup ambulance service, as needed, under their contract. Because there are still sufficient funds remaining in that account, no additional money needed to be added to that budget line this year.

There is no need for concern—we are still here and committed to serving the community. We appreciate everyone’s support and concern.

Wednesday night we were invited to attend the Milo Brownville Kiwanis meeting. There we were presented with a $1000 donation from the club. We are very thankful they thought of us. We are excited to put this towards updating some equipment.
