The City will begin roadway resurfacing work on Great Mall Parkway starting the evening of June 22 and end July 24. The project will involve night construction to remove approximately 2–3 inches of existing asphalt pavement and placement of new hot mix asphalt. Following pavement replacement, construction will resume during the day to complete striping and utility adjustments. Residents are advised to observe changeable message signs for schedule updates.

The fourth Neighborhood Clean-Up Event of 2026 will be on July 11th at Thomas Russell
Middle School! Milpitas Residents can sign-up to dispose of large, bulky items for
FREE.

These clean-up events occur from spring through fall. Registration is required, and each
household is limited to one truckload (up to 3 cubic yards) per event, with participation
in only one event per year.
