Two new businesses. Two new reasons to choose Milpitas.

We’re excited to welcome The Picklr and Toki Bliss Patisserie to our growing business community and proud that these businesses chose Milpitas as the place to offer new recreational and culinary experiences to our community.

Both businesses recently celebrated their grand openings with ribbon-cutting ceremonies attended by Milpitas City Councilmembers, City staff, and community members.
The Picklr at McCarthy Ranch Plaza is bringing a dedicated indoor pickleball experience to Milpitas, with open play, leagues, tournaments, and professional training opportunities.

Toki Bliss Patisserie on Barber Lane is bringing a taste of something special to the community with artisanal pastries, signature buns, elegant cakes, delicate desserts, and thoughtfully curated coffee and tea.

Every new business that chooses Milpitas adds something to the character, energy, and opportunities of our community. We’re excited to see businesses choosing Milpitas and becoming part of our community.

Welcome to Milpitas, The Picklr and Toki Bliss Patisserie! We can’t wait to see what’s next.

Across our community women are leading in many ways—serving our community, supporting local businesses and organizations, caring for families, mentoring others, volunteering, and so much more.

Women’s Equality Day is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the women who make a difference in Milpitas everyday

It’s back to school season and the best way to ensure your little one is ready for kindergarten is to register your 0-5 year-old with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! With titles like “How to Get Your Octopus to School” and “Kindergarten Here I Come!”, this program helps prepare little ones for all of their school adventures by providing a free, age-appropriate book each month to children ages 0-5 in Santa Clara County. Children who participate in the program are 4x more likely to demonstrate stronger emerging literacy skills like vocabulary and phonological awareness*. Books and registration forms are available in English as well as bilingual English/Spanish versions. Register today at https://sccld.org/imaginationlibrary/

The traffic signals at the intersection of Calaveras Boulevard and Abel Street are currently out of service. The intersection has been converted to a four-way stop.

Caltrans, which maintains the signals at this intersection, has advised that repairs are not expected to begin until sometime tomorrow, most likely after the morning commute.

Please avoid the intersection if possible and use an alternate route.

If you must travel through the area, please slow down, use extra caution, and treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

We appreciate your patience as Caltrans works to restore the signals.

The City is scheduled to begin construction for the South Milpitas Blvd Road Extension Project Summer 2026 and continue through Fall 2027. The project includes a new bridge overcrossing, roadway extension, utility upgrades, sidewalks, and bridge aesthetic enhancements. Once the bridge is complete, work will begin on the adjacent Metro Tango Park Project, As highlighted in the image, the green area is the primary area of construction for the bridge and road, while the cyan area is where the rest of the property will be cleared out and leveled for future park construction.

Residents and motorists may see some delays as heavy machinery moves in and out of the site, though driveway and property access will remain open throughout. "No Parking" zones and traffic restrictions will be posted 72 hours ahead of any closures, and crews will sweep and clean up daily. Please note that inclement weather may affect the schedule.
