I’m excited to share that today, new traffic speed feedback signs have been installed on Lattintown Road, on both the north and south sides of Bingham Road in Marlboro.

After hearing repeated concerns from neighbors about traffic safety & especially speeding along our roads, I worked with the Ulster County Department of Public Works to secure two signs and coordinate with John Alonge at the Town of Marlborough Highway Dept. & Chief Cocozza with the Marlborough Police Department to get these signs to our town.

The Highway Department installed them yesterday & they were turned on today.

These signs are a simple but effective tool to remind drivers to slow down.

Thank you to the County DPW for providing them to us on loan, and our Highway Department and local law enforcement for partnering to get them up and running!

And a big thank you to our Ulster County Government and our local Town of Marlborough for their partnership on making our community safer.

On Monday, June 15, the Town of Marlborough Highway Department will be milling the following roads:

* Grand Street Extension
* Blossom Hill Drive
* Hillcrest Center

We will return on Thursday to pave these roads.

In addition, we will be paving:

* Idlewild Road
* Burma Road

Please expect delays and use caution when traveling through these areas. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our roads.

Last year I had a conversation with Ulster County Highways to see if they could help us out at this terrible intersection at Bingham and Lattintown Road. Hopefully this will slow down some of the traffic. Thank you again Ulster County Highway department.
