Santa Rosa County Veterans Services assists in filing Department of Veteran Affairs claims or other VA benefits, as well as answering any questions you may have regarding Florida's benefits for veterans. Followers who consistently disregard this policy are subject to being banned from Santa Rosa County’s social media sites indefinitely. Santa Rosa County reserves the right, but is not obligated, t

o remove content from Santa Rosa County social media sites for any reason, including submissions which:
• are obscene, vulgar, or explicit including masked words (***), acronyms and abbreviations or are abusive, threatening, hateful or intended to defame any person, business, organization or governmental agency
• are intended to intimidate others page followers
• promote, foster or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, s*x, religion, gender, national origin, social caste, s*xual orientation, disability or disease
• threaten to humiliate or assault others including other page followers or page administrators
• are clearly off topic, disruptive, random or unintelligible
• are fraudulent or deceptive and intended to mislead page followers
• are intended to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems
• contain spam, advertising, solicitations or include links to other sites
• promote products, non-county services, political organizations or campaigns
• infringe on copyrights or trademarks
• advocate illegal activity
• violate a legal ownership interest, such as a copyright, of any party
• contain any external links
• violate any policies of Santa Rosa County

We've partnered with the Florida Veterans Support Line (FVSL) and local, veteran-owned Smoothie King to meet our community's veterans, share local resources and give answers to questions about general benefits and compensation monthly. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federally recognized holiday that celebrates the life and achievements of influential American civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr. The following Santa Rosa County offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners, including the animal shelter, extension services, library services and veterans services.

-The central landfill will be open.
-Santa Rosa County Clerk of the Court
-Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser
-Santa Rosa County Tax Collector
Santa Rosa County 9-1-1 dispatch, Lifeguard Ambulance Service and fire departments are open daily.
